Three Sisters Coffee & Tea Is Brewing Up Some Burbank Magic

I recently was able to take my daughter to enjoy a little magic from Three Sisters Coffee & Tea here in Burbank. If you know me at all…you KNOW how much I love coffee. My love affair with coffee started when I was 12 years old, beginning to enjoy a cup with my dad.

This shop is owned and operated by a local, lifelong family. And when I say that, I really, really mean it.

Started in 2021, owners Matt and Kristen Sagona named this coffee cafe for their three daughters – Danielle, Lily, and Skylar. The building where the coffee shop is located started out as Sagona’s Custom Upholstery. It was run for over thirty years by Matt’s father, Richard Sagona, who was also a Burbank native.

According to their website, “Kristen’s family, the Staverts, owned Pickwick Gardens in Burbank for generations where she worked until the family eventually decided to sell the property. It was very important to Kristen to reinvest in the Burbank Community, which is how the idea of Three Sisters Coffee & Tea was born.”

It is the family’s goal to provide a welcoming, happy, and inclusive environment at Three Sisters. And they really mean that. I had the pleasure of speaking with Kristen recently and she is absolutely welcoming to the entire community.
