Call me crazy (I’ve actually been called worse) but I love Lowe’s. Lowe’s is like Costco or Target to me. I can pack a lunch, go in and just walk around all day looking..and looking…and wishing..and looking.
I especially love having a Lowe’s location at The Empire Center so close to me. I’m just that kind of girl who likes to fix things, build things…and grow things.
I’ll thank my dad for the first two and my mom for that last one.
A garden was something we were never without. Growing up in Michigan where I did, we had plenty of land and my mother couldn’t wait until the spring ground was soft enough and the threat of frost was over. The threat of frost is never really over in Michigan, that’s how the weather works there. But, when signs pointed to spring, we got going on the garden and got the bird houses set up .
There are a lot of places to get essential items for building your flower or vegetable garden in and around Burbank, but after all my years of being here, Lowe’s is my favorite for most all items. We’ve got several nursery’s and even some wholesale ones very close, but I have found the selection and pricing at Lowe’s is tough to beat. I do prefer to head to Classic Nursery for some larger items for less money, but when it comes to planting my veggies….Lowe’s is where I go.
This year, I approached Lowe’s on working together to sponsor my garden. Here’s my disclaimer, Lowe’s agreed. They were happy to work with me and we collaborated on building a series for you on building your backyard garden. I did receive product in return for my honest opinion and review.
