I love partnering with Oriental Trading on event posts. Even before I was working with them as an ambassador, I’ve been using them for years! This weekend, I was hosting a surprise party for a beautiful young lady who has to move back to France. She’s been on my son’s hockey team and in the league for two years and she’s so sad to be leaving. Almost as sad as we are to have her go. So, I thought, why not throw her an early ‘All American’ party, and so close to the 4th of July, it was just about perfect.

Saying goodbye to a beautiful young lady.
I knew I could get some really great things for this party on short notice…and I did! It’s not too late to make an order to add some sparkle to your 4th party in the next couple of weeks.

For all of my food ideas, I turned to Pinterest, and believe it or not, I didn’t have a single #PinterestFail! I totally surprised myself.

My bean dip ala flag style

Easiest cake to make…ever.
For the kids, I knew I could grab some really great things for them to keep busy. The party favorite was the big box of pom poms I got for them! They loved the beaded necklaces and the slap bracelets went over well too…but those red, white and blue poms were fantastic. I even found a big box of red/white/blue buttons that we could all write our names or a message on. I had kids putting these on their stuffed animals!

So much cheering going on!
As an American, I just love our flag. I love watching our colors flying and I love watching these kids handing out little flags to everyone they meet. To celebrate the freedom we have in this country…man, that is just a wonderful thing to celebrate.

This was the first dish to completely disappear
And I wish you all a very Happy 4th of July! Have a safe summer.
