All opinions are my own. Except for the “Best Mom Ever” part…that is the opinion of the 5 year old birthday girl.
Why should you never hand Elsa a balloon?…..Because she’ll let it go!!
I would never in a million years, ever think that Frozen Fever would still be alive and kicking in our home. After all, Frozen was released in November of 2013.
But it is.
Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Sven and anything to do with Letting It Go, are all common topics in our house. Actually, I’m not annoyed at all. I think it was a really great film with really great music and if my daughter wants to be Anna or Elsa today, so be it. She is still wearing weekly, the dress we got her for her 4th birthday on Ebay. Its amazing and hand made and from Korea.
She recently turned 5. Please don’t get me started on the fact that my baby…my youngest child…is now 5 and will enter Kindergarten in the fall. There are not enough tissues in a box to get me through that highly anticipated morning to come.
All she wanted for her 5th birthday was a Frozen party…or in her words “Elsa Party.” Because, really…Frozen is Elsa.
I had been seeing some advertising in some mom groups on Facebook and decided to seek out an Elsa… I mean Snow Queen.
I contacted a local company called Princess and Me Parties. They graciously agreed to give me one hour with the Snow Queen in exchange for my honest review. Being a blogger does have its perks, I shall not ever lie. However, I would never embellish a post or fabricate opinion, or even go through with the review if I did not fully support what I was putting out there.
Princess and Me Parties made me the “Best Mom Ever.” Or so says my 5 year old. I never told my daughter the Snow Queen was coming. She asked daily if Elsa was invited to her party and I just said I never got a reply.
So, when the Snow Queen showed up to our party at Maxam Park in Burbank in May…my little princess ran to her. It was like she’d been waiting for her, her entire life.
Here’s what I loved about that moment. Ali, the owner and creator of Princess and Me Parties (and Snow Queen that day) went directly to the play area upon arriving and asked for my daughter by name. When she saw her, she ran to her.
My job was done. No, really, having her there made the rest of the party…cake. Pun intended. (See below how awesome our cake was!)
The Snow Queen took my birthday girl by the hand and led her to the sitting area where she gave her a coronation, made her promise to use good manners and crowned her. They read a story and sang songs and colored. Ali then gave all the kids who wanted face paining a number and dolled up each child with design. My son wanted a snake..so he got a huge green snake across his face.
Then, according to my daughter, the best part happened last. The Snow Queen made water turn into snow!
Owner and creator, Ali, makes all the costumes. You read that right. She makes them. My point is, Ali truly, truly cares about the quality of her product. Her product is happiness. I truly think Ali was a Disney princess in a former life. It’s in her DNA. She was so patient, and kind with the kids. She was personal with each one of them and enjoyed them each for their own personalities.
She’s got a full cast of characters…over 30 to be exact (some of those being added throughout the summer and fall) and plenty of guys and gals ready to jump in. You know, just in case you want The Snow Queen, the Snow Princess and Ice Harvester to all come at the same time. We can compare these unique characters to, lets say, Elsa, Anna and Kristoff. Recently, she’s added Wonder Woman into the bunch!
I would not only recommend Princess & Me Parties to you…I will certainly hire this company again for my birthday party entertainment needs.
