All opinions are my own…including Michigan is the best college football team…ever.
I live in a house divided.
If you know anything about college football, then you know this coming weekend is a huge weekend, not only in college stadiums around the country, but right here in my living room.
You see, I’m married to an Ohio State fan.
And my heart bleeds Maize and Blue.
It’s the stuff that awesome ESPN commercials are made of, right here in my very own home. If you know anything about college football (and probably, even if you don’t) you’ll know that the Michigan/Ohio State game is the biggest rivalry in all of college sports. Especially….football. In 2000, ESPN ranked this match up as the “Greatest North American Sports Rivalry.”
In the 16 years I’ve known my husband, Michigan has won only 3 games. I have very high hopes for the game this weekend in Columbus, knowing the tide has turned for our Wolverines. And the smack talk has already begun.
But, the one thing my husband and I won’t disagree on, when it comes to Game Day…is the food. We want food to go along with our game! And I’ll tell you what, I’m not spending my day in the kitchen preparing food so everyone else can watch the game, I’ve been waiting all year to see.
No, sir.
I’m all about making things simple…and delicious and we wouldn’t think of having a game without wings!
Foster Farms has them ready to go!
This college football game day, I’m dishing up Foster Farms’ Hot ‘n Spicy Wings with a side of our favorite ranch for dipping.
But I took it one step further this year, and prepared one of my favorite dips to pair!
These are so easy, they’re ready in around 30 minutes. I like them extra, extra crispy, so I prepare them as instructed on the package, but also toast them up afterward in my cast iron skillet. This is just a personal preference..but crispy wings are the best!
For my avocado dip, I prepared it all in my blender and boom….1 minute dip ladies and gentlemen!
I used 2 avocados
Juice of 1 lime
One clove of garlic
More cilantro than most would use, because…cilantro
1 Green onion
Salt to taste
I put it all in the blender….and then resisted the urge to eat it all with a spoon before the wings were out of the oven. This was the hardest part of preparing this meal.
Seriously…make Game Day easy this weekend.
You want to actually watch the game! Foster Farms will help!
