Brussels & Bacon Flatbread…My Fav!
California Pizza Kitchen has always been a place I’ve associated with a somewhat pricey fast-casual dining experience. And it is true, they are more expensive than some other places, but I’ve never had a meal there I wasn’t fully satisfied with. We all know cheap food isn’t always good food and I’m willing to pay a tiny bit more for food I know won’t disappoint.
Our Burbank location of California Pizza Kitchen is one of the first in the area to get a beautiful remodel including an interior design element of reclaimed wood accents and new upholstery in the dining area. Not only have they changed their esthetics, but the menu is sporting a whole new look and feel too!
There are a few really awesome things that stand out on this new menu. First of all, there are new, hearty choices. My husband doesn’t always want to go have pizza and a salad, and for that matter, neither do I! He’s a huge steak and fish fan and guess what…they have steak and fish!
Right now, on their newly amped menu, they’ve got Cedar Plank Salmon, Chicken Picatta, Ribeye, Fish Taco’s and more. They’ve inserted an interchangeable card with seasonal items on it such as the Sunny Side Up Bacon & Potato Pizza. I am a sucker for all things with eggs..and this was yummy. I had only wished there were more eggs on this pie, but that’s because I’m obsessed with eggs. |

And to all of you who are fans of lunch size portions and options, CPK has unveiled a new lunch duo! You get your choice of lunch sized pizza with salad or half sandwich. Lunch combos rock.
And get this..I had no idea that CPK did this, but they have a Menu Adventure Guarantee. Try something new instead of sticking to the same thing you have for the last 4 years. You know we all do it. If you don’t like it, they’ll replace it with one of your regular favorites.
I’m very pleased with the changes happening at our local CPK and I’m proud that Burbank is one of the first to sport them
P.S. Don’t forget about curbside pickup. Any restaurant that makes it so I don’t have to take three kids out of the car into a facility to pick up food earns a little extra credit in my book.
