I love Peanut Butter and Chocolate. I mean really…what’s much better than that combination. And as much as I adore Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies…I despise having one lump of chocolate in the middle with an entire cookie to go. Soo….a friend showed me a new way. I’ll never forget the Christmas, my friend Angela brought a plate of cookies that looked like birds’ nests filled with colored little M&M eggs.
I never went back to the original.
You can obviously make this cookie to match any party or theme you need. I’ve brought them to baby showers with all pink M&M’s. I’m sure you could top them with all kinds of things. These are so easy…and quick. Need a dessert to bring? This one is quick and easy.
You won’t have any leftovers to bring home with this treat.
This is where you insert your favorite recipe here…or follow the recipe on the back of the bag….mix & roll into balls.

Place the rolled peanut butter cookies onto a baking sheet. I normally roll them in sugar, as you do with peanut butter cookies…but this time I didn’t…simply because I didn’t feel like it! (Hey, they’re going to be covered in a Hershey Kiss…)

This is where I let the cookies sit for a short time. I wait until those kisses heat up from the bottom to the top. For the next step, you can use the back of a spoon or your finger from your freshly washed hands. When the kiss is perfectly soft…spread that baby out like you’re frosting the cookie with the chocolate. This is what makes them my favorite…when you eat them, there is chocolate on every bite and the kiss never really regains its hard composition and stays soft (Unless you refrigerate) Once you have all the cookies frosted with the kiss..place some cute little M&M mini’s on them…or regular sized M&M’s or pecans or whatever you want to top them with! These are one of my favs! |
