Logan White, Sarah Drew & Patricia Heaton
The nail has been hit on the head.
Burbank Mom and co-writer of the film Moms’ Night Out, Andrea Nasfell, has helped create a piece of work that will resonate with everyone. Because chances are, you know a mom, or love one, or have one or you are one. And if that’s the case, you will get the message of this story. Even if you live under some rock or are from another planet and have no idea what a mother is or does, you should watch this film… from the beginning, you’ll understand, and you’ll be laughing.
The film stars Sarah Drew as a very busy, tired and stressed mother of three young children. Her husband, played by Sean Astin is extremely supportive of her and even encourages her to do something for herself, which is where ‘Moms’ Night Out’ comes in.

I will not reveal the details of how this evening goes for this group of moms, but I will say it includes animals, children, a car chase, a Pastor’s wife and a Taser gun. There’s much more to it than that, but if that doesn’t sound like a fun film, I’m not sure what does!?
BurbankMom.com held a private screening of Moms’ Night Out on Saturday at Big Boss Creative in Burbank. From the start, we were laughing. This comedy is very well written and speaks directly to the life of a modern day mother. We all could relate to the humanness in the chaos.

There are two great things I appreciate about this film. The first is how family friendly it is. My 8 year old daughter sat with me and watched it and there was nothing she couldn’t see. It takes great writing to create a movie that is loved by adults, geared toward adults, made for adults and is safe for kids to watch. There is not much out there like this, if anything.
The second thing I loved about this film is the monologue by country music legend, Trace Adkins. I will give you no details here, you must watch for yourself, but this 6 foot 8 inch man gives the most heartfelt, honest, straight to the heart therapy… I didn’t expect it at all.
As a busy mother of three children, I appreciate how this movie addresses the standards and stress we place upon ourselves. Sarah Drew’s character brought up a big question in the beginning of the film, questioning why she knows she has everything she’s dreamed for, but still finds herself unhappy.
Bam. There it is. You have to see this movie.

Q&A after our screening. Andrea Nasfell, Kevin Downes and Abbie Cobb
I loved this film I cannot wait to see it again…and I can’t wait to have my husband see it. It’s for the guys too, they’ll enjoy it as much as you will.
