Pool Boys, ‘Love Songs’ for your husband, Farm Fresh Boxes, Benadryl bowls at bedtime?
The ‘n0t safe for work,’ Mommy Tonk and The Assless Chaps are coming to Burbank…and you WON’T want to miss this show.
Please read that sentence over again…Do NOT miss this show. These two women know how to ‘harmonize and curse perfectly in a honky-tonk style’ that will leave you in tears, for all the right reasons.
Shannon Noel and Stacie Burrows are two of the most brilliant, talented, funny and also down to earth women you’ll meet. They’re both ‘Boy Moms’ and love every minute of it!
I first met Shannon and Stacie when I was producing Expressing Motherhood with my friend, Lindsay, at The Elephant Theater in Hollywood. Lindsay cast them individually, as they were both amazing at what they brought to the stage. Shannon performed a piece about having to answer the door to a delivery man who rang the doorbell, when her baby was still sleeping…all while wearing the breast pumps she was busy with. Stacie shared with us her bold comedy and song with a story about Gymboree and lullabies she sang to her kids, based on the sketchy people in the neighborhood.
Funny doesn’t cover it. Brilliant is more like it.
The ladies met backstage, hit it off, realized they were comedic soul mates and the rest is history.
Often backed by THE ASSLESS CHAPS, a fiddle-based American roots trio, MOMMY TONK has performed in LA, Austin, Chicago, Louisville, and Nashville including: The Comedy Store, Flapper’s Comedy Club, Throckmorton Theatre, Stagecoach Country Music Festival, The House of Blues, Zanies, The Boston Comedy Festivaland they are frequent performers in the national show Expressing Motherhood. MOMMY TONK is not safe for work, children, or basically anyone who has any standards.
No, really…set standards aside and you’ll walk away not regretting it.
Take a look at this great song about Target, that Ellen shared on her channel!
