Halloween is always more fun with themed treats like Spooky Caramel Pretzels! They’re easy to make, very cost effective and fun for the entire family to get in on the action. With only a few ingredients, you can make your favorite pretzel best friends with your favorite caramels!

What You’ll Need For Spooky Caramel Pretzels
For the pretzels we made at home, I choose Goetze’s traditional caramels! Last year, I made a prize-winning lemon bar with these caramels! You can use whatever kinds of caramels are your favorites. The traditional Kraft kind can be purchased on Amazon in huge quantities, just FYI.

You can choose any pretzel you’d like, but pick one that has strong stucture. We like to make goodies during the holidays, with the Snyder’s Square Snaps. They’re strong and bake well in the oven. Micheal’s has the rest of what you’ll need. They have fun sprinkles, candy eyballs and melting chocolates, specifically during Halloween time.

The Most Simple Halloween Treat Ever!
I’m pretty sure this recipe is a no-brainer and you don’t need my help to make them, but they go something like this. Put your caramels on the pretzels, which I like to place on parchment paper. Pre-heat your oven to 300 degrees and place the caramels and pretzels in the oven. How long you bake them will depend on what kind of caramels you have. The Goetze’s caramels take a bit longer to soften. I baked them for about 2 minutes while watching.

Remove them from the oven and let the caramel cool a bit before dipping in the melted chocolate. When cool, it’s up to you and how creative you can be! The kids love this part. Dip the caramel pretzel in a colored chocolate (That you’ve melted according to the instructions) and cover in your Halloween decor!

Good luck making your own Spooky Caramel Pretzel’s for Halloween!
