A very talented Ringmaster, Kevin Venardos
Circus Vargas knows how to put on a show.
And before I go any further, I will tell you I did receive a free ticket in exchange for my honest review of Circus Vargas.
And I will also tell you… I’m paying to go back.
The Magikaria show from Circus Vargas is an absolute ‘must’ with the family while it’s still here in our town through December 9th.
This traveling group of entertainers doesn’t need any sort of animals or gimmicks to sell their product. It’s full of good ‘ol fashioned hard work and exceptionally talented and brave people who give more than 110% to make sure you don’t leave without a smile.
I am in awe. I’m also somewhat speechless about describing how much fun it was and I’m definitely going back when the in-laws arrive this week.
Circus Vargas is in its 44th year of production traveling far and wide to entertain audiences everywhere, and entertain, it does.

This traveling show is a family affair as there are some 4th generation circus performers included in the group. Husbands, wives and their children all travel together to make this Circus, a ‘family’ event.
This show is old school circus. Everyone works all kinds of jobs. It’s clear to me how much they love what they’re doing and know that every part they play is vital to the success of the show. The performers are not sitting backstage waiting for their time to come up…they’re also selling you tickets, greeting you at the door, ushering you to your seats, selling glow sticks and photos and stopping to say hello no matter where they are.
My son, while waiting to get it, was running around in good ‘ol 6 year old boy fashion and fell. He got a tiny pebble lodged in the palm of his hand and was very uncomfortable when we got to our seats. I saw we had firemen standing close to us, so I brought him over to them. They said they weren’t going to do anything about it…but a nice man came by and said, follow me. We did. He was the owner/producer of the entire circus, Nelson Quiroga. (Who was also part of a flying trapeze act with his brothers years ago.)
Mr. Quiroga took us to the front office and got out his first aid kit and gave us something to clean my son’s boo boo and a band-aid.
Bam. Just like that, the circus was back on for us. Thank you Mr. Quiroga.

There is a fantastic interactive pre-show for kids. All kids have the opportunity to participate. Make sure you arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow them to enjoy this. The amazing host of the evening, Jon Weiss, is a talent in his own right and lets all the little ones learn how to balance objects as well as juggle. This is something your kids will be talking about all night.
Then the show begins!
From there on out, it’s pure entertainment. The tight rope walker, the acrobats, the silks dancer and the man shot out of the cannon.
Yes…I said cannon.
It is all so much fun, my husband and I were in as much delight as our children. It had been years since I’d been to a circus, and this blew me away.

I will not tell you too much about the illusionist, Patrick Gable…you must see him in action for yourself.
Complete unbelief. I have no idea how people pull off such illusions, especially when I’m sitting right there and am watching with my own eyes. It’s crazy and you just have to see it for yourself.
This show is spectacular and worth taking your kids to before it closes Monday, December 9th. Tickets are on sale at www.CircusVargas.com… and don‘t forget, BurbankMom still has tickets up for grabs today! The contest ends tonight (Sunday, December 1st). Click HERE to enter now.

I secretly captured the look on my kids faces. They had so much fun and I was super surprised at my 3 year old’s reaction to everything. She’s normally the one who is fearful of things…and she had no problem at all. She was as excited as the rest of us!
I’m also going to resist showing you ALL of my pictures, because you really do need to go see this show! |
