I absolutely love entrepreneurs. The hard work and determination that comes with seeing a project go from idea to reality is always inspiring, and I especially love when those entrepreneurs are kids! Flip Critts are an upcoming new, slip-on-shoe for the entire family and 11-year old Carter Waugh created this idea after athletic shoes are too hot to play in and flip-flops fall off and leave your toes vulnerable. Brilliant!

What Are Flip Critts?

Flip Critts are easy slide on shoes, designed to be enjoyed by anyone, anywhere. From the city, to the beach, to the trail – they are as “versatile and stylish as you are!” They are available in kids and adult sizes in 144 color and critter combinations.

My daughter was a lucky recipient of a pair to review! And boy has she gotten her wear out of them. She’s been wearing them to walk the dog, bike the neighborhood, run errands with me and play corn hole!

Flip Critts Kickstarter Campaign

Like a lot of companies getting off the ground, they have a (very successful) Kickstarter campaign going. It was actually fully funded in 45 minutes! On top of that, if they can reach the $50k mark, we’ll get to see Flip Critts in the Glitter kind! And seriously, who doesn’t love glitter!

The bottom line here, is that my kid loves these. I can’t wait to get myself a pair, as well. This busy mom loves easy slide on shoes, but agree with Carter, even my toes are left vulnerable to stubs and scrapes.

The Construction Of These Slides

According to my 10 year old, “it’s like a flip flop with a shell.”
These slides have a toe bar and “Flip Critts are made with SweetFoam(™) midsoles made entirely from sustainably and equitably sourced sugarcane from Brazil.!”

Say what??!

The soles on these are fantastic in support and grip. They have Vibram’s legendary grip and durability. And all of these things are important to me, as an adult, which mean’s they’re especially great for kids who are running around a lot more than me.
