It’s no secret that our family loves Knott’s Berry Farm, and that we will take any free moment from our busy schedule to sneak down to Buena Park to see Snoopy and all of his friends. I’m super excited to be a partner with Knott’s on this last visit and to help share the joy we have for Knott’s and their holiday themed events! Knott’s Spooky Farm is in full force in Camp Snoopy, Ghost Town and Fiesta Village! And my family thinks you’ll LOVE what Knott’s does to help the kids (and some adults like me) have a fun time at Halloween without being scared!
Knott’s Spooky Farm is a limited time event, where, although is on display throughout October, the fun really happens on the weekends. And they even open earlier on the weekends in October, so you can get a head start on the fun!
Kids ages 3 -11 can participate in Trick-or-Treating throughout Ghost Town, and interact with an array of spooky but friendly Shopkeepers. When you enter Knott’s, the kids will be handed an orange bag for trick or treating, and I LOVE how the characters in Ghost Town interact with the kids, oftentimes giving them messages to relay to other characters somewhere in the area. Talk about interactive!
New this year, Stanley Scarecrow has opened the Livery Stable for guests of all ages to get close and personal with the Creepy Critters of Calico. The Grand Sierra Railroad in Camp Snoopy takes riders on “A Trip To Camp Spooky”
Presented by REESE’S, a one-of-a-kind experience which takes riders on an adventure, along with the Peanuts Gang, to Camp Spooky with added special Halloween theming effects. Then come to Camp Snoopy Theatre Presented by HERSHEY’S to show off your best Halloween costume at the Peanuts Costume Contest and afterward, join Peanuts characters in a Peanuts Dance Party!.

Additionally, families can watch the Peanuts Gang in The Monsters Are Coming, Charlie Brown, where they’ll have guests of all ages singing and dancing along to classic Halloween tunes.
If you have a little bit older kids, who don’t scare so easily, there are some ‘older’ but not horribly scary things for them to do too! The Timber Mountain Log Ride mystically converts into the Halloween Hootenanny by adding a new family-friendly twist to a park favorite. My older two kids LOVED this version of the ride!
Every year the citizens of the Timber Mountain invite the mysterious creatures that live out in the woods and caverns of the area to join them as they celebrate the season at the Halloween Hootenanny. The ride’s interior will feature new fun surprises as guests venture past the Calico Coffin Creeper band, the town’s green witch and splash down Skull Mountain through a labyrinth of jack-o-lanterns. The seasonal ride will also feature an original song performed by Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies.
And let’s not forget about Knott’s dedication to celebrating Dia De Los Muertos! In Fiesta Village, join the Dia de Los Muertos Celebration in the Fiesta Stage area for an interactive, non-scary, educational celebration of the season. The themed area offers a walk through a village filled with photo ops, educational activities and face paintings at a nominal fee. Then visit the Ghastly Gallery Presented By KIT KAT® in the Boardwalk Ballroom for a slate of entertaining activities including a live show and opportunities for your little ghouls to participate in drawing their best “monsterpiece.”
Knott’s has something for everyone this year!! And, of course, for the adults only…you can come back late at night for the Knott’s Scary Farm experience.
We always have a great time and Knott’s! Always. So, get your little goblins and witches down to #KnottsSpookyFarm!
One more tip from this family… if your kids are bigger and like riding the rides outside of Camp Snoopy, you might want to consider the Fast Pass that Knott’s has. This will save you a substantial amount of time on the weekends! (Note that this Fast Lane upgrade is ONLY available on Saturday’s and Sunday’s in October.)
Also note, Parking will be $18.
The Monsterpiece Theatre Showtimes are:
10:30 & 11:30am, 12:30, 2:00, 3:00 and 4:00pm
Dr. Sketch N Stein’s Drawing Symposium happens at:
10:00 & 11:00am, 12noon, 1:30 & 2:30
*Be sure to grab a schedule of all shows upon entering the entrance gate at Knott’s.

I’ve been seeing/hearing/reading all about the “kids 3 to 11” detail. Does this mean that kids UNDER 3 are not allowed to participate or trick or treat?
Jason, I’m pretty sure they can trick or treat at that age. They may be announcing the 3-11 for precaution for the candy they hand out. Most of them were Jolly Ranchers, and although my kids die for those, they’re obviously a choking hazard. There was also licorice and Kit Kats, too. I definitely saw smaller than 3 year olds holding their bags out. But they did stop my 12 year old from participating…
