The thing is, you just can’t be healthy all the time. Ok. Scratch that. We can’t be healthy all the time. I try to cook a lot at home and make as much as possible from scratch (or with the help of Fresh and Easy), but when it comes down to it, I’m a working mom with three kids and a husband with an even busier work schedule and sometimes we just want to eat out and/or I’m just to exhausted to cook.
As we have reevaluated our eating habits, we have really started to discriminate where we do and don’t go out to eat. And when it comes to quick-service dining, we’ve tried to eliminate burgers and find healthier, fresher alternatives. At the top of our list of places we love to eat at with this goal in mind is Daphne’s. If you have little ones like me, you may not think that Daphne’s has “kid” food. In a sense, you’re right. There are no chicken nuggets or cheeseburgers. What Daphne’s does offer are great foods that kids really like and at the same time teach them that eating out doesn’t have to be the same old thing. My kids love the flatbread pizzas, gyro meat, shrimp, rice, pita and hummus. There really is no shortage of what they will eat and the folks at Daphne’s are always full of great suggestions for the kids.
