My son. He was up on skates in 1 week.
I shared with you some information last year on Frank Dalessandro and the absolutely amazing things he’s been doing in the Parks & Rec roller hockey program in the past few years.
It’s been an amazing turn around.
The rink we have at Ralph Foy was in talks to be shut down a few years ago.
This program has grown tremendously in Franks hands…there is a huge demand for hockey in Burbank.
Frank is at 90% right now. His teams are almost full and he will reach a point where kids will be turned away. This is an absolute shame because there is not much else around like this!
“There is nothing like it around here…this will be the only thing like it in the area.” says Dalessandro, when talking about the new facilities that are being drawn up right now.
This is huge.
I’ve been watching this sport grow for these kids and it’s been fantastic. This is not just a boys sport, by the way. There are plenty of girls lacing up their skates, putting on their gear and getting out there.
“I want to make an all girls league, if I can ever get to that…we went from 0 to 650 players in 3 1/2 years.” Frank says about the Roller Hockey program in all.

Completely.
I watch him with all these little ones. He is patient, kind, encouraging and genuinely loves teaching.
It’s people like him…and Kindergarten teachers, that have me in awe. Not sure how they do it, but their love for what they do overflows.

Wear your Burbank Hockey Jerseys! Adults, wear whatever jerseys you have!
At this meeting, people supporting this structure would be asking for continued support and approval to keep moving forward with this project. YOUR voices and presence will be very important to this process. This meeting will be open for the public to attend and show their support for this project.
The board will have many issues to attend to that night so we must respect their time.
My family loves this program and we hope to be there to support the continued growth of such a highly
sought after program.
Burbank would be so lucky!
You can find info on this league on FACEBOOK and their WEBSITE!
