Stuffed pasta shells with carnitas and cream cheese
What you’re looking at here is one of my family’s favorite dishes. I normally use ground beef for this dish, but last year, I was asked by Del Real Foods to come up with something using some of their products. So, I did! I modified our favorite to use their carnitas instead.
And it was glorious!
My family loves it when I use the large pasta shells and make our Ground Beef Stuffed Shells. I served them with Del Real’s Arroz and some homemade guacamole.
Here’s the recipe!

1 Package Del Real Carnitas
1 Package Del Real Arroz
2 Cups Salsa
1 box large pasta shells
6 oz. cream cheese
1 bottle taco sauce, red
2 cups Mexican seasoned cheese
Toppings (Optional)
Guacamole (Avocado, Salt, Pepper, Lime juice, Garlic)
Cilantro
Jalapenos
Diced Tomatoes
Directions:
Cook pasta shells as directed on package, Rinse with cold water and set aside until ready to fill will carnitas mixture.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Line bottom of 9×13 glass pan with salsa.
Prepare Del Real Carnitas as directed on container in microwave. When hot, mix with the cream cheese until melted and fill shells.
Place filled shells in the pan in single row and cover with red taco sauce. Top with cheese and bake uncovered in oven for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is melted.
