We love Knott’s. When I told them they were going, they laid their costumed out 5 days early.
Prior to walking into the park, not only did we get followed by roosters with great personalities, my children made new friends they were destined to hang with. Kids are so cool that way, they can play with others for hours, have a blast, want to play again, offer to share toys, food and trade costumes and never once ask the other child’s name.
The kids all set forth to create a potion in the Witch’s Lab that best suited them…my son created ‘Silly Potion’ while my daughters both made “Extra Fun Potion.’ Inside the Grizzly Bear Lodge, kool-aid and water came together in small bottles to give them a little bit of magic to get through the day.
They all rode rides together and walked across the stage in a Halloween Costume Parade. This is a first for my youngest who refuses to get near park characters or stand in front of anyone so people look at her. She refused to do it…at first. After watching all the kids take the stage, she decided she would too. And she let her brother take her! This is the kid that steals her toys, sits on her and steals her spot on the sofa when she moves.
There is a Peanuts Halloween show for the kids, a costume parade and plenty of ‘Spooky’ things to look at. There’s also Photo Forrest and a fun maze for the little ones. What a perfect place for our kids in costumes!
Camp Spooky is happening every weekend in October. For more information, visit their website HERE…
Thanks again Knotts! We had a lot of fun 🙂
