A few years ago I purchased a coffee pot…somewhere. It was a Cuisinart and I couldn’t remember if I bought it at Best Buy or BB&B. So when it broke in less than 2 years and I had no coffee to drink, I was mad. I drove it to BB&B looking for a new one.
I did not have a receipt.
I did not even know if I had bought it at their store.
And they gave me credit toward a new coffee pot based on the current value of the one I was taking back, because it was a model that they carried.
Bam. New coffee pot.
New favorite place to buy coffee pots…Bed, Bath & Beyond.
Now, yesterday, I went into BB&B with my 2 year old in tow to meet my soon to be sister-in-law to complete her bridal registry.
Cut to my 2 year old screaming when she wanted up…when she wanted a sucker… when she wanted this and that…when she wanted to go home. I was choosing to let her skip her nap so we could get things done..and I wasn’t sure I was going to make it.
Until Roger came by.
The best thing about Roger….was that HE KNEW WHERE EVERYTHING WAS! Do you know how many times I have been shopping elsewhere and asked where ‘this’ item is…or ‘that’ item is, and the people working in the store had no clue?! Preposterous!
In between our run-in’s with Burbank’s hilarious employee of the year….Suzanne Freedberg, the Customer Service Manager, frequently made visits to us to make sure we were all doing well and inquisitive if she could help find anything in any way.
I’ll have you know…my two year old was blowing kisses to Roger as we left.
