Clearly, these 10 Instagram users know how to find and snap some of my favorite places in Burbank for cool and sweet. Here’s my top 10 places and recommendations!
(Be sure to follow these very creative Insta-Accounts!)
Monte Carlo Italian Deli
What they have: Gelato and lots of it! Gelato is the Italian word for ice cream and is lower in fat content and denser than regular ice cream. It’s served on the softer side so you can enjoy its texture. Monte Carlo has 24 flavors of Gelato and/or Sorbet served by the scoop in a cup, in a waffle cone or to go in ½ liter and 1 liter insulated containers.
Ashley’s Recommendation: Pistachio Gelato on a waffle cone
Location: 3103 W Magnolia Blvd. Burbank 91505
What they have: Artisanal, hand-made, small-batch ice cream and sweet treats such as root beer floats, ice cream, bars, popsicles, and ice cream sandwiches. The flavors are always changing so there’s always something new when you come in.
Ashley’s Recommendation: Fruity Pebble Ice Cream Bar
Location: 2214 W Magnolia Blvd. Burbank 91506 (Cash only)
North Pole Snow Cream
What they have: “Cooler than ice, softer than snow” Choose a bowl or make a snow burger then choose your flavor, toppings, drizzles and enjoy!
Ashley’s Recommendation: Try their new Dragon’s Breath! They’re popcorn sized balls made with liquid nitrogen that will have you breathing out smoke like a giant mythological creature.
Location: 201 E Magnolia Blvd. Burbank 91502. (1st floor of the Burbank Town Center)
Frach’s Fried Ice Cream Truck
What they have: Frach’s Original-Tempura, Frach’s Mexican, Frach’s Japanese, and Frach’s Thai deep fried ice cream. They also serve Frach’s Original Scoops and Milkshakes.
Ashley’s Recommendation: Doesn’t matter! It’s all soooo good!
Location: Keep an eye out for this truck in Burbank and follow them on twitter for locations. I always spot them parked out front of Ralph’s on Victory and Buena Vista a few times a week.
What they have: Acai bowls that start with scoops of pure organic frozen açai berries and then topped with your choice of banana, granola, strawberries, blueberries, mangoes, chia seeds, hemp seeds, almond slivers, cacao nibs, coconut shavings, bee pollen and goji berries!
Ashley’s Recommendation: All the toppings are fantastic but I especially love the mangoes, chia seeds and bee pollen.
Location: 326 N Victory Blvd. Burbank 91502
Pick & Mix Juice Bar
What they have: Fresh and healthy juices ,smoothies, ice cream, slushies and milk shakes. You can make your own juice by picking your favorite fruits and veggies from their buffet bar and they’ll blend it for you.
Ashley’s Recommendation: The M3 aka Mix juice with peach, apple, grape and orange.
Location: 539 N Glenoaks Blvd. Unit 104 Burbank 91502
What they have: Boba (Tapioca) milk tea! Boba are big, soft, and chewy tapioca balls that sit at the bottom of your drink. You suck up the gelatinous balls through a huge straw and chew on them while you drink.
Ashley’s Recommendation: Lavender milk tea with boba!
Location: 148 N San Fernando Blvd. Burbank 91502
What they have: Soft serve, Twisters, shakes, floats and sundaes.
Ashley’s Recommendation: The OG soft serve cone! Vanilla chocolate swirl hand dipped in a chocolate shell.
Location: 201 S. Glenoaks Blvd. Burbank 91502
What they have: Sundaes, ice cream, sorbet, frozen yogurt, bars.
Ashley’s Recommendation: Dulce De Leche on a cone! It’s rich caramel and sweet cream, swirled with ribbons of golden caramel.
Location: 201 E Magnolia Blvd. Burbank 91502 (3rd floor of the Burbank Town Center)
What they have: Frozen yogurt made from fresh California milk and lots of delicious toppings. What I love the most about this chain vs. others is the selection of yogurt flavors.
Ashley’s Recommendation: Red Velvet Cupcake Batter topped with white chocolate chips, cookie dough, and caramel drizzle.
Location: 304 N San Fernando Blvd. and 2400 W Victory Blvd.
