I was not paid (nor would I ever be) for this campaign endorsement.
Some of Elise’s Ragamuffins & Families.
I stay away from both on this site…normally. Truth be told, we’re all going to disagree on most things…such as whether or not Renee Zellweger is a good actress, which way the toilet paper goes when replacing a roll and if skinny jeans should just be thrown into a big pile of denim and burned…or better yet, banned.
See? Controversy.
However, this is the city I’m heavily involved in, so in this case, I do have an opinion I would love to share.
Forget political party affiliation. Republican? Democrat? Decline to state? I just don’t care. Voting for the best candidate is always a good way to go. And in my humble opinion, our City Council is in need of change, and there’s a candidate for that.
Let me make this clear.. I am against no one.
I am definitely for Elise Stearns-Niesen.
I know Elise personally. I have known her for years. Elise is full of one of the most important character traits I find in people…integrity. Elise is small in stature, but she packs a powerful punch when it comes to what she believes is right. She’s a woman of her word. She supports small businesses, which Burbank is full of! She wants to protect our neighborhoods, work to ease traffic congestion, as well as help to maintain the ‘smallness’ that is Burbank.
Let’s start there. Elise is a Burbank native, born and raised. She attended Burbank schools, is a graduate of UCLA. She’s been a police commissioner for the past 7 years.
In 2007, Elise was awarded the Mary Alice O’Conner Woman of Vision Award for her fund raising efforts that benefit the Family Service Agency of Burbank. She’s currently serving on the committee to plan the Eighth Annual Care Walk of Burbank, which benefits school based counseling programs. She serves as a board member of a local non-profit, Kids Community Dental Clinic.Elise is for the City of Burbank.
Elise Stearns-Niesen is, in my humble, personal opinion, THE best candidate for City Council 2015. I can say that because I know her personally.
And, quite frankly, I never Google search when I can get a personal recommendation. Those are the best.

And don’t forget to VOTE! Election mailers will be headed our way this week! Don’t throw them away.
Elections this year are big…City Council AND School Board!
